George Washington Ceremony

 

Zion Lodge No.1 invites you to join us on Sunday, February 17th for our annual ceremony honoring Brother President Washington and his Masonic legacy. 

We will gather in the south lobby of the Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center at 2:00 pm. We will then march a short distance to the Washington statue at Mariners Church to conduct a brief wreath laying ceremony.

Immediately following, we will proceed to the Greek Ionic Room on the fifth floor of The Detroit Masonic Temple for a ceremony highlighting Brother Washington's Masonic record and the influence of his ideals on the Fraternity. Light refreshments and a tour of selected areas of the Temple will be available after the ceremony. 

All regular Masons in good standing from Entered Apprentices and up as well as their families are welcome to attend, whether as Lodges or as individuals.

Dress is business suit or tuxedo, with apron. Please wear the apron and regalia of your office where applicable. A limited number of aprons will be available on a first come first served basis, it is suggested that you bring your own if possible.
